Getting Started Is Quick & Easy
At Read to Thrive, we stand out from the crowd. We’ve discarded the disconnected cookie-cutter literacy practices that often leave children disengaged and confused. Our approach is daring, innovative, and entirely tailored to each learner, making the reading journey straightforward, significant, and successful for all.
Our system is not just about reading; it’s about building a strong foundation of practical skills that children can confidently apply. We use a structured, brain-based phonics approach that aligns with how children think and process information naturally. Each lesson seamlessly connects to real-life learning, ensuring students gain skills they can confidently apply in school and beyond.
At Read to Thrive, every child has the potential to thrive as a reader. Our step-by-step, adaptable process is designed to make this a reality for every child, regardless of their learning needs.
Our tutoring process

Initial Reading Assessment
We begin with an informal assessment backed by professional clinical judgment to identify your child’s strengths and challenges. This evaluation helps determine whether our program fits and sets the foundation for your child’s personalized reading plan.
After the assessment, you’ll receive documentation of our findings and an explanation of how our system can support your child’s success.

Parent Orientation & Overview
If you decide to move forward, Marcia will guide you through an overview presentation of the Read to Thrive system. You’ll gain a clear understanding of how reading instruction will work, what your role will be, and how to reinforce learning at home.
This partnership ensures that parents feel confident, supported, and fully equipped to participate in their child’s journey to reading success.

Ongoing Learning & Progress
As your child progresses, lessons remain fully personalized and adaptive. The system is designed to accelerate maximum growth and make learning stick. Parents often find they can use these same strategies to support other children or apply them to subjects like math, science, and writing. With this interconnected approach, as students learn to read, they gain confidence, independence, and the joy of learning.
